One of the fathers and innovators of P-Funk. Early in his career, he rose to prominence working with James Brown. Then he joined Parliament-Funkadelic…and now he’s an absolute legend.

Between him and George Clinton…they are some of the most sampled artists in hip hop, bar none.

Their music led to Cold 187um of Above The Law to create the G-Funk sound of West Coast gangsta rap, and then copied (actually stolen) from Cold 187um, by Dr. Dre, who made G-Funk one of the most popular forms of hip hop music in history.
