Udom Emmanuel, has responded to
Jabs thrown at him by the presidential candidate of the All progressives congress Bola Ahmed Tinubu who on Monday tackled the Governor for supporting the presidential bid of Atiku Abubakar the flag- bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Udom Emanuelle in a swift response on Tuesday while addressing newly appointed state officials said that Tinubu should focus on what he intends to do if elected President, rather than launch personal attacks on individuals.
In another development, the internal wranglings within the all progressives congress took a dramatic turn on Tuesday, after the Governor of Kaduna state alleged on live television that some persons within the government are not happy with the outcome of the APC presidential primary and as such, are working against the party winning the election.
Many Nigerians have reacted to El- Rufai’s allegations including the federal government through its minister of culture and information Lai Mohammed who on Tuesday while addressing Journalists at the state house said that the federal government is not aware of any Aso Villa elements sabotaging the APC, and that the focus of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration is ensuring credible elections.
Meanwhile Nigeria’s First Lady Aisha Buhari, took to her Instagram account on Tuesday, to share the video clip of el-Rufai speaking about elements in the presidential villa, that are allegedly sabotaging the APC, with the caption, Long live the federal republic of Nigeria
Finally, Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike has denied ever making a public pronouncement that he will announce his preferred presidential candidate stating that he never told the public the method by which he would disclose his choice.
The Former director general of the Nigeria Maritime Administration and safety agency Dakuku Peterside, reacting to Wike’s comments described the Governor as lacking courage, tact, reason and finesse.
